Crochet Peacock Feather Eye - Free Written Pattern

Recently, I shared my Peacock Top design and was asked about a pattern. I’ve been thinking about it, but at the moment I’m a bit tired of working on very complex patterns. They take ages to write, many parts are hard to explain, it’s difficult to scale them to different sizes, and in the end, the number of people who actually buy such a pattern is quite low.

Specifically with this design, it was quite difficult even for me to recreate it and put all the pieces together the way I needed. I was working from an old photo from three years ago, when I didn’t take any notes or detailed pictures. It took me some time to place the peacock feathers the same way and connect them properly.

But I thought I could at least share the Peacock Feather Pattern I designed for those who are brave enough to try recreating the piece, or for anyone who would like to use it in a different project.

Another benefit is that this free pattern lets you experience how I write my other patterns, so you can see if you like it and maybe feel encouraged to try a more complex one.

In the future, I would like to create a video for my Patreon with instructions for the Peacock body, as well as some guidance on connecting the pieces and using them to create different shapes and designs.

Enough talking—let’s get crocheting! 🧶
